PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor which is used as a drive for a sealed compressor or the like, and which is capable of simplifying the manufacturing of a stator without damaging it and including the stator functioning with high efficiency. SOLUTION: A thin magnetic steel sheet which constitutes the stator and a rotor is punched from the same magnetic steel material. This punching forms caulking portions on the stator side. Coil bobbins are fitted into the caulking portions and fixed, thus simplifying stator manufacturing preventing damages to the stators. At the same time, the caulking portions are punched to form a magnetic circuit resistance portion at the punching portion left on the rotor side magnetic steel sheet, thereby improving motor efficiency by restricting generation of eddy current at the magnetic circuit.
