PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image printing system and an image recording system that can select a moving image so as to print or record a high resolution image like a photograph. SOLUTION: An imaging device 11 converts an optically consecutive object optical image into a plurality of high definition television video signals and gives the signals to a display device 12 in parallel as moving image data and the display device 12 displays the data as a moving image of the object optical image. While observing the object optical image displayed on the display device 12 as a moving image, a user designates a recording state of a storage device 14 at an optional moment and stores the images at the moment and before and after the moment. The user reads a plurality of still images stored in the storage device 14, displays one by one each on a screen of a display device 16 or lists up a plurality of the still images at the same time and uses a selector 15 to designate and select an optimum image among them. A printer 17 prints out the selected still image on recording paper and a writer 18 records the still image.
