PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a controller which can apply and approximately sinusoidal voltage to a brushless motor, by adding a simple structure to a conventional inverter controller. SOLUTION: This controller of a brushless motor has a PWM operation circuit, which compares an approximately sinusoidal PWM operation waveform, generated according to a voltage command and a frequency command, with a carrier signal to generate a drive signal for a semiconductor switching device, and a V/f control inverter, to which the drive signal is applied. The output voltage of the inverter is applied to a stator coil of a brushless motor, having a position sensor sensing a pole position of a rotor. There is further provided a means, which corrects a phase angle of the PWM operation waveform, so as to start a change of a new PWM operation waveform synchronously with a timing of an output of the position sensor. |
