PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of displaying with a full screen without needing correction of the existing application even in the case of performing the existing application for low resolution display by a new system of high resolution display. SOLUTION: Data about character information and image information that are handled by application software on absolute coordinates are written in a video memory 70. A displaying part 67 displays the character information and the image information based on the data written in the video memory 70. A CPU 53 controls data writing from the application software to the video memory 70 and data reading from the video memory 70 to the displaying part 67.
