PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image having well-arranged white balance by removing coloring due to an ununiform light source from a color image photographed by a mix light source. SOLUTION: A received color image is divided into a plurality of small images; color temperature of a photographing light source is estimated from each small division image, when the color image is photographed; a histogram of estimated color temperatures by each small image is generated, the small images are grouped, the color temperature of the photographing light source is estimated by each group; white balance correction amount is calculated by each group, depending on the estimate result of the color temperature by each group; and white balance correction is respectively applied to each small image in the group, on the basis of the white balance correction amount calculated by each group.
