PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact inductor having an air core with less deterioration in Q value while preventing self-resonance frequency from drapping regardless it is formed on the substrate of a dielectric. SOLUTION: In the inductor 1 of one embodiment, pads 5a, 5b, ...5n, 6a, 6b, ..., 6n are formed with a specific interval at the same positions of peripheral sections 2B and 2C in the front and rear of a substrate 2 sandwiching the opening 2A of the substrate 2 where the opening 2A is open at the center, each pad at the same positions on the front and rear is electrically connected via a through hole 7, ends of gold wires 3a, 3b, ..., 3n, 4a, 4b, ..., 4n are connected to each pad, the other ends are connected to the pad that is adjacent while the pads oppose and correspond each other, and a transmission line in coil-like structure is formed on/under the opening 2A.
