<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can display the optimum performance of an antenna according to the telescopic state of the antenna or the folding state of an enclosure. SOLUTION: The portable terminal is provided with an antenna detector 12 which detects the prescribed telescopic state of the telescopic antenna 10, a folding detector 14 which detects the prescribed folding state of the enclosure, matching circuits 30 to 36 which match the antenna 10 to an internal circuit (a transmission-reception circuit) 18 in the portable terminal in the prescribed telescopic state and in the prescribed folding state, changeover means (switches) 20, 22 which connect the matching circuits to the antenna and the internal circuit and a control unit 16. The control part changes over the changeover means when the antenna detector detects the prescribed telescopic state and when the folding detector detects the prescribed folding state, and it connects one matching circuit to the antenna and the internal circuit.</p> |
