PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a wavelength interval to become dense by a WDM method in a wavelength control module using an optical resonator without making the optical resonator larger in size. SOLUTION: The transmission characteristic of this optical resonator is shown by which a graph that the waveform of a uniform mountain-like shape is continuously distributed with an abscissa for a wavelength and an ordinate for a transmission factor. This wavelength control module is designed to control an oscillation light source of an optical signal for monitoring so that the intensity of transmitting light of the optical resonator is substantially constant when entering the optical signal for monitoring a wavelength that is displaced from central wavelengths (P1, P2...) as a peak of the transmission factor. In addition, this module uses, as the wavelength of an optical signal for monitoring, both first wavelengths (λ1 ,λ3 ,λ5 ...) on the short wavelength side from the central wavelengths (P1, P2...) in a range of a wavelength having a mountain-shaped distribution, and second wavelengths (λ2 ,λ4 ,λ6 ...) on the long wavelenth side from the central wavelengths.
