Torsional vibration damper comprises parts rotating about a rotary axis relative to the action of a helical spring (8). The helical spring is radially supported via a sliding block which is guided on a wall region on one side and supported by the thread of the screw on the other side. The sliding block has at least one region which partially encompasses a radial external section of the thread. A connection is formed between the sliding block and the helical spring to hold the sliding block against the helical spring in a direction vertical to the longitudinal axis of the spring. Preferred Features: The sliding block is held on the helical spring over the region of the sliding block which encompasses a thread of the helical spring. The sliding block can be radially held on the spring thread via a snap connection.
