Basket for storing and turning bottles of champagne has transverse reinforcing bars connected to sides by T-shaped couplings. Basket (1), designed to hold up to 500 bottles of champagne and turning them during the fermentation process, has a base (8), a rear wall (13) and side walls (5, 5'), opening top and front doors and a transverse reinforcing bar (2). The bar is fastened by T-shaped couplings on its ends engaging with matching slots in the upper edges of opposite side walls. The top and front doors are attached to the basket by hooks engaging with inclined slots, with the top door made in two sections, and the side walls have feet with rounded ends to facilitate handling.
