PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the adhesive properties of an upper surface of a base of a light-emitting diode having a rear surface of a PCB, when a T-shaped light-emitting diode is surface mounted on the PCB, to surely operate a solder to coat therebetween, and to hold uprightness of the diode on the PCB. SOLUTION: The light-emitting diode comprises base parts 32a, 32b having a pair of external connection electrodes 34, 35; a body part 33 rising up from substantially the center of the bases 31a and 32b to form a substantially T- shape; a light-emitting diode element 45 provided on the body part 33, so that the diode element 45 is electrically connected to the electrodes 34, 45 and the diode element 45 is sealed by a resin sealer 47; and recess parts 40a, 40b provided at corners of the outside of the electrodes 34, 36 formed on the upper surfaces of the base parts 32a, 32b. |
