PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a router device which enables connection of an analog device to a network with a simple structure. SOLUTION: Infrared rays corresponding to signals for operating a video recorder 102 are emitted from the router device 101 toward the video recorder 102 in response to the requirements of personal computers 103-106 which are connected to the router device 101. The analog signals which are inputted from the video recorder 102 into the router device 101 according to the operations are converted into digital signals by the router device 101. The converted digital signals are outputted from the router device 101 into the personal computers 103-106 which output sounds and display images.
