PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code communication method for performing via an SDH network, etc., the efficient communication of such an mb/nb-coded signal as a giga-bit Ethernet (R) signal. SOLUTION: In the code communication method, a transmitter generates a (m+1)b code string to transmit it, and transmits at least once a code synchronizing pattern comprising (p) (p is a natural number larger than (s) and not larger than 2m+2) continuing Ks and (q) (q is a natural number, p+q<=2m+2) continuing K<-> s. A receiver converts a receiving bit string into the (m+1)b code string by sensing the code synchronizing patterns from the receiving bit string to perform a code synchronization. |
