<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic fiber mat that, even if projections and recesses relatively greatly different in height are formed, follows such projections and recesses and is brought into close contact with penetrating members, and is thus capable of closing the space around the penetrating members so that sufficient fire-preventing capability is maintained. SOLUTION: The inorganic fiber mat 20 is used for fire-preventing measures for compartment penetrating portions that are formed in a partitioning portion for isolating two adjacent compartments and in which a plurality of penetrating members is placed. The mat has a specified thickness and includes a front face 21 that is brought into contact with the penetrating members when in use and a rear face 21 opposed to the front face 21 in the direction of the thickness. The mat also includes divided pieces 23 separated by a plurality of slits 22 that have a specified depth substantially in the direction of thickness and are arranged and extend substantially in parallel with one direction horizontal to the front face 21, and each of the divided pieces 23 contains inorganic fibers and is elastically compressible.</p> |
