PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular heater used as a heater or the like for heating such as for examples a heater for defrosting of a refrigerator, an electric radiant heater or a conventional oven or the like, in which there is no disconnection of heater wire, and which can be used stably for a long term. SOLUTION: In the tubular heater comprising that a heater wire is housed in a insulating tube and both ends of the heater wire are connected with lead wires, a Ni-Cr(nickel chromium) alloy wire having a fine oxide film as the exothermic wire on a surface is used. The fine oxide film is formed by applying oxide film formation treatment of two stages on Ni-Cr alloy wire.
