PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic image converting device for achieving an image of a high S/N ratio which is the difference of brightness from the observed original input signal by controlling the increase of the brightness of the background. SOLUTION: The electronic image converting device has a fluorescent surface on which an electron beam is projected, a post-deflection accelerating electrode, an optical fiber plate with the incoming end surface of the optical fiber beam disposed on the fluorescent screen, and solid imaging elements disposed on the output end surface of the optical fiber plate, and a conductive thin film with the permeability of light of such a wavelength as can transmit the optical fiber plate is disposed between the output end surfaces of the optical fiber plate and the light receiving surface of the solid imaging elements and between the input end surface of the optical fiber plate and the fluorescent screen respectively. In the electronic image converting device, a black conductive coating film is formed on the post-deflection accelerating electrode, so that reflection of the scattered light from the fluorescent screen on the post-deflection accelerating electrode is inhibited and the S/N ratio is increased.
