PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a high speed transmission, making matching of characteristic impedance, and having transmission characteristics superior for high frequency signals and high-speed signals. SOLUTION: While pinching a shield contact 40, signal contacts 30a, 30b, 30c, 30d are arranged in a row, and while pinching a shield contact 50, signal contacts 30e, 30f, 30g, 30h are arranged in a row. A part of the signal contacts 30a to 30h (a part exposed from an insulator 10) are surrounded by shield members ranged to the shield contact 40 and shield members ranged to the shield contact 50, and shielded.
