Priority is given to determinations of fish dimensions in generally accepted linear dimensional intervals simultaneously in the whole range enveloping all the dimensions of fishes, determined for linear dimensional intervals are the intervals of the strengths of the chain for treatment of the strengths of the chain from the whole acoustic beam by using the equations of dependence of the mean strength of chain on the length for fishes of various species and the intervals of the chain strengths for treatment of the strengths of the fish chain from the central part of the acoustic beam by using the equations of dependence of the maximum strength of the chain on the length for fishes of various species, the measured chain strengths are sorted out according to the intervals of the chain strengths simultaneously into two data files, one from the whole acoustic beam, the other - from its central part, on the basis of the data on the strength of the chain from the central part determined are the dimensional composition of fishes, distribution of the chain strengths and the mean strengths of the chain from fishes from the central part of the acoustic beam, on the basis of the data on the strength of the chain from the whole acoustic beam determined are the distribution of the chain strengths and the mean strengths of fishes from the whole acoustic beam.
