The syringe with two chambers (8, 9) for syringe pumps comprises a stop (11a) which in active state limits the forward motion of the separation piston (5) to a maximum amount not unblocking the communication channel (13) into the chamber (9). In inactive state, however, the stop allows the full forward motion of the separation piston to take place.
