Photosensitive composition comprises at least one sensitizer selected from bichromates and chromates, a water-soluble high molecular weight substance, at least one sensitivity-improving compound selected from multivalent alcohols and ethers, and water. Preferred Features: The water-soluble high molecular weight substance is selected from casein, polyvinyl alcohol, gelatin, and isinglass. The sensitivity-improving compound is at least one multivalent alcohol selected from ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, trimethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol and glycerin. The sensitivity-improving compound is at least one ether selected from ethylene glycol monomethyl ether, ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, diethylene glycol monomethyl ether, diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, triethylene glycol monobutyl ether, triethylene glycol monoisobutyl ether, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether, polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether and propylene glycol monoethyl ether. The composition also comprises a preservative and a non-ionic surfactant.
