The baited trap station for rats and mice comprises a cage-type housing (1) installable underground or at ground level with an accessible upper cover (2). Inside the housing is a bait holder (4) for a food bait (5). In the upper cover is at least one slide-in hole for the rodents. The cover has at least one removable part (3) and devices are provided for locking the removable part with the housing. The bait holder can be releasably fixed approximately in the center of the upper cover, and to the removable part. The upper cover or the removable part has a through aperture for the bait holder. Devices are provided for locking the bait holder to the housing. The bait holder is a wide-meshed basket.
