<p>A production line leak testing device for sealed packages incorporates a series of parallel testing devices adapted to apply pressure to the lid of a cup like container. Lid deflection is measured at a first reference pressure; the pressure on the lid P1 is then increased or decreased and return to the reference pressure when lid deflection is again measured. It is preferred to use a positive pressure increase. Both gross and fine leaks can be determined at production line speeds, using this method.</p> |
