The crankcase comprises cylinders connected to a cooling fluid channel assembly which has feed and outlet facilities. The feed facilities (14) are located between the rows (2,3) of cylinders (4,5) and from which are supplied cylinder passages (16) allocated to the cylinders. The cylinder passages open out into the outlet facilities (15) in cylinder sides facing away from the feed facilities, whereby the cylinder passages, the feed facilities and the outlet facilities are manufactured in one piece with the crankcase (6).
