The wheel spoke light reflector has an integrated light source, provided by a light bulb or light-emitting diodes, connected to a supply battery by closure of a centrifugal switch upon rotation of the wheel, with an electrolytic capacitor maintaining the current supply upon temporary interruption of the current circuit, e.g. on an uneven road surface. A main switch switches the light reflector in and out of operation, with a light dispersion disc performing the function of a standard passive wheel spoke reflector when the battery is fully discharged.
