The brush head (13) includes: (A) a head (13) attached to the handle; and (ii) a plurality of fibers (46) flocked onto a surface of head (13). The brush head (13) has a height (H) that is substantially greater than the width (W) thereof, such that the brush head (13) has a relatively low vertical profile to minimize the elicitation of a gag reflex when the device is used to clean the tongue.
