<p>A valve assembly (100) includes port nipples (404) which are press-fit into corresponding channels (217, 218, 219) in a manifold (110). The manifold (110) is formed of a resilient elastomeric material and includes connecting passages (452, 453, 454) in its side surfaces to enable connection within adjacent manifolds(s). Fittings (400) with barbs (448) can be press-fit in the connecting channels (452, 453, 454) or provided unitary therewith, and received in other channels (452, 453, 454) in adjacent manifolds, to provide a fluid-tight seal without the need for additional mechanical sealing devices such as O-seal or seal tubes.</p> |
