<p>A carrier (13) for a reed switch sensor is dimensioned to enter a longitudinal undercut groove (12A) in the periphery of a cylinder body but has fixed lugs (18A, 18B) which will engage under the flanges of the groove when the carrier is rotated. A spring loaded lug (19) maintains the opposite end of the carrier (13) in the groove. The arrangement allows the sensor carrier (13) to be inserted in or removed from the groove even when there is no access to one end of the groove, e.g. because end caps of the cylinder are not grooved or because of adjacent equipment.</p> |
