A hydraulic work machine, esp a toothed wheel motor, consists of a shaft (7) which runs along the outside of the machine, and a shaft ring seal (14). The seal is located in front of a leakage oil throttling system (17). The ring is made of plastic, eg polyamide, and is glass fibre reinforced.
