PURPOSE: A bidirectional input device and controlling method thereof are provided to reduce the large restriction of a controllable angle and to carry out a mouse manipulation input algorithm by linking with the bidirectional input device. CONSTITUTION: The device includes an optical mouse remote controller(10) lighting the pointer light mixed with the non-visible light and the visible light, and a coordinates signal/control signal generator(12) generating the coordinates signal by recognizing the coordinates on a screen of the pointer light from the remote controller and generating the control signal according to the manipulation of a mouse button of the remote controller. If a user clicks a left or a right mouse button, the remote controller respectively lights the preset pulse light different from each other. The coordinates signal/control signal generator includes a pulse analyzer(128) outputting the control signal by analyzing the pulse light detected by a sensor(126). |
