The invention relates to the application of bio-probes which bind specifically to biological material and thus permit the detection and/or separation of the material so marked from an environment of similar biological material, by means of electrophoresis or dielectrophoresis. Said bio-probes are characterised in that they alter the electrical and/or dielectric properties of the biological material.
