<p>A device and a method for press forming; the device, comprising a drag die (24) fixed to a lower plate (11) and first and second cope punches (33, 34) lifted together with an upper plate (12), wherein the first cope punch (33) supported by a spring (49) is liftable relative to the second cope punch (34); the method, comprising the step of lifting the upper plate (12) while feeding a strip-shaped work (W) from the right to left side along the upper surface of the drag die (24) intermittently in increments of one pitch to continuously press-form grooves in the work (W), whereby, since a groove previously press-formed by the second cope punch (34) is holdingly positioned between the first cope punch (33) and the drag die (24) when the grooves are press-formed in the work (W) by the second cope punch (34), the press forming of the grooves can be performed precisely by the second cope punch (34).</p> |
