PROCESS FOR CLEANING SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS

An enzyme-free cleaning product concentrate containing at least 10 wt % of at least one alkanolamine is used for effectively and gently cleaning surgical instruments. The cleaning product can be used in a cleaning process having the following steps: (a) applying an aqueous solution of 0.5 to 100 % cleaning product concentrate on the instruments; (b) allowing the solution to act at a temperature between room temperature and the boiling temperature of the solution; (c) rinsing.
