PURPOSE: A vibration generating device of a massage machine, in particular a massage chair, is provided to more effectively massage or acupressure a certain portion of the body by adjusting a strength and a pattern of vibration according to a request of a user. CONSTITUTION: The vibration generating device installed in a massage chair comprises a bobbin which is provided with a hollow bobbin shaft(12) around which a magnetic coil is wound, and first and second bobbin wheels(13,14) preventing the separation of the coil; a vibrator made of permanent magnet material, which is elastically supported to a certain portion of the bobbin so as to be vibrated by the magnetic force of the coil; a vibrating part of which one end is coupled to the vibrator and the other end is fixed to the one surface of the bobbin in order to prevent the separation of the vibrator, which has a silicone cap(40); a power source; and a control part for controlling a strength and a direction of the magnetic force.
