PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an optical switching element to switch fast with a small energy while making it easy to manufacture the optical switching element by simplifying its structure. SOLUTION: The optical switching element 1 is composed of a deflecting mechanism 3 which deflects the direction of light according to a signal and a fixed reflecting member 4 having at least one reflecting surface 5 opposite the deflecting mechanism 3.
