发明名称 METHOD FOR ESTIMATING THICKNESS OF SCALE LAYER OF STEEL PLATE
摘要 PURPOSE: A method is provided to estimate thickness of the scale layer by the propagation velocity difference between the scale layer and matrix. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step of preparing a plurality of samples of a steel plate; a second step of measuring propagation velocity of ultrasonic wave by projecting ultrasonic wave having a constant frequency to the sample; a third step of obtaining an equation defining the correlation between the thickness of the scale layer of the sample and the ultrasonic wave propagation velocity; and a fourth step of estimating thickness of the scale layer from the propagation velocity of the ultrasonic wave projected to the sample by using the equation obtained in the third step. The ultrasonic wave has a frequency of 10MHz, and the equation defining the correlation between the thickness of the scale layer and the ultrasonic wave propagation velocity is expressed as thickness of the scale layer=-11840.322+2007.018*ultrasonic wave propagation velocity.
