PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which is capable of recording data in a highly packing density mode by increasing an output for refreshing a fine pattern beyond refreshing limits. SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium 10A of a dedicated refreshing type structured by sequentially laminating a reflective film 2A and a protecting film 5 on a light transmitting substrate 1 where the readable fine pattern 1A is formed, the reflective film 2A is composed of a submicroscopic discontinuous film and a thermochromic film 3 whose transmittance and reflectance reversibly change depending upon temperature is formed between the reflective film 2A and the protective film 5. When a laser beam 6 is emitted from the substrate 1 side, the laser beam 6 transmitted through the reflective film 2A is reflected by the thermochromic film 3. |
