PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner with which the contamination of each member of an electrophotographic recording equipment even in long- term continuous printing is not caused, a stable high quality image is formed and the service life of a developing unit, a photoreceptor unit, etc., is prolonged and which is excellently used in both one-component and two-component developers and suitable particularly for full color development, and to provide a developer using the toner and an image forming method. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic toner consisting essentially of a bonding resin, a colorant and an external additive, the bonding resin is a polyester resin and/or a polyol resin, the external additive is inorganic fine particles treated with methyl hydrogen silicone oil and having <=100 nm average particle diameter of primary particles and the liberation rate of the methyl hydrogen silicone oil is <=30%. |
