摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and useful cleaning method of low environmental load, which cleans dirt adhered and stuck to the inside and outside surfaces of a power storage container for dry toner or the like or a developing unit in an electrophotographic device, so that the cleaned powder storage container or developing unit can be used repeatedly. SOLUTION: A carrier 3 is used as a cleaning medium, and the carrier 3 is moved by the magnetic field of magnet 5, which is made to act from the outside of a container 4 to be cleaned, to adsorb toner 2 to the carrier 3. When the toner 2 is nonmagnetic, the carrier 3 is stirred by a magnet 5 provided with a stirring mechanism 7, and the carrier 3 and the toner are charged by friction with the toner 2, and the toner 2 is sucked by electrostatic force. Electric charge are given to the carrier 3 and the toner 2, which are discharged out of the vessel 4 by a magnetic force, to give the same polarity to them, and electric charge of opposite polarities are given to them after separation, and electric charge of the carrier 3 and the toner 2 removed and are separated by a sieve and are recovered.
