PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for matching a print head structure in more than one direction or over the fraction of nozzle pitch. SOLUTION: The ink jet printer comprises a page wide print head (104) fixed to the frame (101) wherein the print head (104) is coupled with mechanical units (106, 107) so that it is matched with each other and/or with the edge of an image receiving basic material (110). The printer may further comprise units (114, 115, 116, 117, 118) coupled with a computer and sensing a possible mismatch in order to match the print head automatically.
