摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out modification so that a radiation-sensitive layer containing a diazonium resin has superior printing property in a printing plate so finished that the layer exhibits high photosensitivity and superior developability. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a recording material having a dimensionally stable two-dimensional base, preferably an aluminum base and a negative-working radiation-sensitive layer containing a diazonium salt, a polymeric binder and sulfobetaine. The layer may further contain a polymerizable monomer or oligomer and a photopolymerization initiator. The front face of the recording material may be matted or colored with a pigment and the rear side face may be coated with an organic polymer material. The sulfobetaine enhances the solubility of the diazonium salt in an aqueous-alkaline developing solution without lowering the resistance of an offset printing plate manufactured from the recording material.
