PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for pressure infiltration of a metal into a fiber bundle facilitating inserting properties of the fiber bundle into an orifice and having excellent operating efficiency and stable quality by preventing the breakage of the fiber bundle. SOLUTION: This apparatus 1 for pressure infiltration of the metal into the fiber bundle 110 comprises an enlarged-diameter section formed in at least one end of an orifice in an orifice 5 on the entrance side for guiding the fiber bundle 110 into a storage tank 103, an intermediate orifice 7 for leaving the metal-infiltrated inorganic fiber bundle 110 from the storage tank 103 or an orifice 8 on the exit side for taking out the resultant inorganic fiber-reinforced metal composite wire 112 from a pressure chamber 101.
