PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external manipulator 20 for visually inspecting the outer surface of a collision sleeve of a gas turbine combustion component. SOLUTION: The external manipulator comprises circular segments 36 extending around collision sleeves arranged with annular spaces, and a robot assembly. The robot assembly comprises a linear rail 38, an upper arm 44, and a front arm 46 with an inspection head 48 mounted thereon connected turnable mutually in order to visually inspect the outer surfaces of the upper face, bottom face and side face of the collision sleeve.
