摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve efficient trade-off between ensuring an operation range and securing member strength in a universal joint design. SOLUTION: An interference avoidance condition for avoiding possible member interference occurring in the universal joint within a necessary operation range is derived. Under a design guideline in which a processing dimension satisfying the interference avoiding condition and suppressing a processing cut amount of a member to the minimum is the optimal dimension, an optimal design for achieving efficient trade-off between ensuring the operation range and securing the member strength is carried out for the condition of a given member dimension and a required operation range.
