Process for treatment of herbs by means of microwaves

A method for producing deep-frozen herbs so that their natural elasticity and/or aroma are/is preserved involves subjecting a compact layer of the raw product to an alternating electromagnetic field within a frequency range from 0.3 to 24250 MHz and a temperature range from -20 degrees C to above 60 degrees C, is new. An Independent claim is also included for herbs produced by the method.
