PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system, etc., by which the guidance to a destination through a prescribed transit place is made easier and which utilize a portable terminal. SOLUTION: The navigation system is constituted of portable terminals 20 which can make radio communication, on-vehicle navigation systems 10 which are respectively provided with map databases 18 and can communicate with the terminals 20, and a radio base station 1 which specifies the locations of the terminals 20 and transmits positional information indicating the specified locations of the terminals 20 to the terminals 20. The control section 15 of each on-vehicle navigation system 10 extracts map data including a guiding route from a first transit place to the destination from the map database 18 of the system 10 and the data processing section 13 of the system 10 transfers map data obtained by editing the map data extracted by means of the control section 15 in accordance with the moving means from the first transit place to the destination to the portable terminal 20 connected to the system 10. The terminal 20 displays its own positional information transmitted from the radio base station 1 by superimposing the information on the map data transferred from the navigation system 10. |
