PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a dust-proof glass provided to an optical writing unit used for an image forming apparatus so that foreign matter such as dust does not stick to a laser beam projection hole of the dust-proof glass and foreign matter such as dust can easily be cleaned even if it sticks, to the laser beam projection hole of the dustproof glass. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus which is provided with the optical writing unit deflecting a laser beam to make a scan below a photosensitive body is provided with a detachable dustproof cover at a dustproof glass part at the laser beam projection hole of the optical writing unit containing optical components to prevent foreign matter such as dust from sticking; even if foreign matter such as dust sticks on the laser beam projection hole of the dustproof glass, it can easily be cleaned by removing the dustproof cover. |
