PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure in which vibrations are damped by using (jointly using) a connecting earthquake-damping device (a connecting earthquake-damping structure) and pull-out force generated in a base isolation layer (a base isolation device) is inhibited. SOLUTION: A plurality of ridges of buildings having different natural periods are constructed on a podium 3 in which the base isolation layer 1 is supported by the base isolation devices 2, and a structure in which a plurality of the ridges of the buildings are connected mutually by the connecting earthquake- damping device 6 or the base isolation structure in which the base isolation building supported by the base isolation devices 2 and a building being adjacently constructed to the building, having a non-base isolation structure and having the different natural periods are connected mutually by the connecting earthquake-damping device 6 is formed.
