WATER-BASED MAGENTA INK COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF INK JET RECORDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magenta ink compound that has the hue and clearness suitable for ink jet recording and gives the recorded matters of excellent color fastness, a water-based ink composition and an ink jet recording using the water-based ink composition. SOLUTION: The objective water-based magenta ink composition includes C.I. Acid Red 82 and C.I. Acid Red 289. The ink jet recording method uses a water-based magenta ink composition including C.I. Acid Red 82 and C.I. Acid Rd 289 as a deep color ink and a water-based magenta ink composition including C.I. Acid Red 82 as a light color ink.
