METHOD FOR MOLDING HOLLOW MOLDED ARTICLE OF REINFORCED SYNTHETIC RESIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a core from being deteriorated by heat when a resin molded article is molded by inserting the core into a preliminary molded article consisting of a synthetic resin composite material arranged in a mold and expanding the core while the mold and the preliminary molded article are heated. SOLUTION: A method for molding a hollow molded article of a reinforced synthetic resin is provided. A preliminary molded article with a shape of a product to be molded is prepared. This preliminary molded article comprises staple fibers of a thermoplastic resin randomly mixed and lightly stuck together and staple fibers for reinforcement. Either a core being removable afterward and with flexibility and expandability or a core consisting of a thermoplastic resin liner is arranged in the preliminary molded article. The preliminary molded article is arranged in the mold and while a compressed cooling liquid is circulated in the core, the preliminary molded article is heated so that the thermoplastic resin is melted.
