PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leading system, for a blind person, which can guide the blind person up to a destination surely and easily even when the destination is a place visited by the blind person for the first time. SOLUTION: A leading apparatus for the blind person is provided with a map storage means by which map data is stored, a position detection means which detects a present position, a destination setting means which sets the destination, a map retrieval means by which the present position detected by the position detection means and the destination set by the destination setting means are retrieved from the map data stored by the map storage means, a route retrieval means by which the present position retrieved by the map retrieval means and a route between destinations are retrieved from the map data and a voice guidance means by which the route retrieved by the route retrieval means is voice-guided. The leading system for the blind person is composed of a combination of the leading apparatus for the blind person and a cane for the blind person, the leading apparatus for the blind person is housed in a portable bag such as a shoulder bag, a rucksack or the like, and the cane for the blind person comprises an obstacle sensor. |
